Turnover
Sometimes the people who were never supposed to stay are exactly the ones you needed all along.
Turnover is a warm, quirky, life-affirming indie comedy about a grumpy restaurant owner, a crew of lovable misfits, and the unlikely family that forms when nobody's looking.
The Story
A disgruntled café manager hires a crew of misfits to run the owner's business into the ground — but instead, they save his life.
When restaurant owner Peter leaves abruptly for a medical sabbatical, his bitter manager Henry seizes the moment — hiring the most chaotic replacement crew he can find in hopes of tanking the place for good. What Henry doesn't count on is that this strange, stumbling, strangely wonderful group of people will band together and become something none of them expected: a family.
Peter returns to a business he barely recognizes. But as he watches these misfits show up for each other — and eventually for him — something begins to shift. When a stroke leaves Peter vulnerable and alone, it's not the people he would have chosen who show up. It's the ones who were always there.
Turnover is a film about the chapter of life that begins when everything you thought you wanted falls apart — and something better quietly takes its place.
